Dr Peta Dunstan, a fellow at Cambridge University, has written a good history of the European Province of the Society of St. Francis. It is called This Poor Sort.

Here we include two articles by our founder, Father Joseph, OSF. The Order of St. Francis (OSF) later became the American Province of the Society of St. Francis. The Society of St. Francis (SSF) was first established in England.
